A table full of fish and bhorta from EFC Live Fish in Cox’s Bazar. Bhorta is the mincing of a meat, vegetable or fruit that is mixed with mustard oil and other herbs and spices to flavor. In the photos in order are: tomato bhorta, green chili bhorta, shutki bhorta (dried fish), eggplant bhorta, potato bhorta, and shrimp bhorta. The last photo is a delicacy known as shutki which is dried fish that is specially cooked, it is pungent to the nose and flavorful to the taste buds.
